Health and Safety is taken very seriously at Doopadcool Homestay. This is a Wild and Remote part of the western ghats and care needs to be taken every day. Move with caution and open eyes and always be concerned with what is happening around you.

THE COVID-19 Precautions

We have put specific measures in place to ensure the safety of our staff and our guests. On a daily basis, we are working to ensure that we meet the latest guidance on hygiene and cleaning.

Vaccinated Staff and Hosts

Our staff members are COVID-19 Fully Vaccinated and ensure the safety of themselves and our guests, including rules around the washing of hands, practising social distance and the use of personal protective equipment.

PPE (Personal Protective Equipment)

The use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at emergency cases is mandatory at our premises. This includes the use of face masks and hand sanitiser stations.

Cleaning and disinfecting procedures

We use cleaning products and protocols which are effective against viruses in all areas accessible to staff and guests. This applies to all areas including guest rooms, public areas, dining areas and staff quarters.

ADDITIONALLY

The nearest hospital is in Chikmagalur City which is about 18 KMS from the Homestay; has good relations with one of the local doctors who is always available telephonically in case of emergencies.

Please always be cognizant that we are in the remote regions of Western Ghats of Chikmagalur area wild forest when hiking, swimming or adventuring. A simple fall requiring stitches is not so simple if it happens here.

In case of extreme emergencies we have the number of Fire, Police and Ambulance too.

Common sense usually prevails. Use it daily.

A basic medical kit and broad spectrum antibiotics course is always kept at Doopadcool Homestay.
